Job Summary

This position is for a clinical assistant professor (non-tenure track) in educational leadership. This position serves in the Department of Leadership, Research, and School Improvement in the College of Education. This is a ten-month, on-campus (not remote) appointment with a start date of August 1, 2023. The University of West Georgia is committed to diversity. Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assume a range of responsibilities including (1) teaching graduate courses in educational leadership and school improvement; (2) coaching and mentoring candidates in school settings; (3) advising students; (4) serving on doctoral dissertation committees; and (5) teaching predominantly in an online format. Teaching for this position accounts for approximately 90% of faculty productivity; research and service 10%.

Required Qualifications

An earned terminal degree in Educational Leadership or related field from an accredited institution.

A minimum of five years' experience as a practicing PK-12 educational leader.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Georgia Professional Standards Commission policies and procedures.

Online teaching experience.
