Job Summary:

This is a part time position, 20 hours per week, position that will provide technical support for a research program in the Psychiatry Department located at the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences.

This is a grant funded position.

Responsibilities could include:
· Will collect data for the Center for Integrative Research on Childhood Adversity (CIRCA) under the supervision of CIRCA Research Project Leader (RPL) Lucia Ciciolla, Ph.D. and RECA co-directors
· Assist RPL research team in coordinating and leading participant recruitment, scheduling, and staffing for participant assessment appointments
· Perform structured interviews such as MINI, Timeline Followback with research participants
· Collect neurocognitive assessments utilizing NIH toolbox
· Assists in the collection and processing of biological samples from research participants, including but not limited to blood, saliva, nail clippings, hair clippings, and microbiome samples
· Perform chemical, physical, or biological tests and supports scientific investigators in research projects. Operates laboratory equipment, to include but not limited to centrifuges, titrators, pipetting machines and pH meters. Performs laboratory tests according to standardized procedures, records and reports results
· Records and analyzes data. Calculates test results, logs, and reports results to the supervisor
· Assesses laboratory needs, inventories supplies, orders and stocks supplies, and order equipment
· Establishes and maintains an inventory control system for supplies and equipment and ensures that work orders for lab maintenance are placed in a timely and efficient manner
· Provides to management a summary of progress, risk of all projects, results, and queries related to laboratory performance
· Work as a key team member within the OSU Biomedical Imaging Center, and CIRCA, and an ‘extended team’ member in the labs of research faculty affiliated with the Hardesty Center
· This position will require someone who is self-directed, good with people, and excited about constantly tackling new challenges and learning new skills

Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 8-10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Position Qualifications:

Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
· Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills in English

Preferred:
· Experience collecting psychometrics data
· Experience working with biological samples (e.g., blood, saliva, hair, etc.)
· Experience working in a human bio sample laboratory
· Experience working with human research projects
