Job Details
The School of Health Sciences is seeking Assistant Professors or Diagnostic Medical Sonography to begin fall 2023.
The Assistant Professor has the primary responsibility of instruction in the classroom for students enrolled in Diagnostic Medical Sonography courses, as well as ensuring the success and retention of students while maintaining high academic standards.
Salary commensurate with education and experience.
This is a Safety Sensitive position pursuant to Oklahoma Statute OKLA. STAT. tit. 63, § 427.8 (2020). Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher.
Professional credentials in Abdomen and OBGYN Sonography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
At least 2 years of experience as a clinical sonographer.
Strong communication skills with the ability to establish good clinical alliances.
Experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance in educational theories and techniques.
Philosophy compatible with that of a comprehensive urban community college.
Preferred QualificationsAdditional professional credentials in Vascular Ultrasound by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Teaching experience at the community college or university level.
