Executive Director of Marketing and Enrollment Management, Online Division (REMOTE)
Job Description:
In partnership with the Vice President of Online Learning, the Executive Director of Marketing and Enrollment Management is responsible for leading the online division's marketing and enrollment management strategies from the start of the prospective student lifecycle until enrollment and beyond. A proven track record in strategic planning and execution of integrated marketing with an emphasis on digital marketing and SEO, enrollment management strategies, vendor management, communications, alumni engagement, and public relations with oversight of a mix of internal and external stakeholders is required. This position is fully remote.
Essential Responsibilities
- In support of the College's strategic goals develop, implement, oversee, and assess all aspects of marketing to ensure comprehensive and integrated materials emphasizing digital marketing and SEO.
- In support of the division's enrollment and revenue goals, lead short and long-term initiatives that drive inquiries and enrollment through funnel conversion.
- Humbly and empathetically leads a skilled team of marketing professionals. Direct supervisory relationships with assistant directors, content marketers, automation specialists, and external partners. Manage effective relationships and lead and hold accountable multiple vendors for marketing and enrollment management.
- Leverage technology utilizing a variety of platforms and mediums including; best practices in social media, web design/development integration, email, demand generations, and others within higher education and preferably enrollment management with an eye to the future. Evaluate and assess the use of technology, both current, and new, to maximize and track prospective student engagement.
- Provide leadership & support professional development to the marketing and enrollment management department.
- Partner with the B2B team to develop marketing and enrollment strategies for current program offerings.
- Collaborate with the academic leadership team to provide marketing research, support, and evaluation for current programs and new program launches.
- Collaborate with the institutional systems team to prioritize and implement projects related to marketing and enrollment initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Director of Student Advising and Retention to provide a consistent, seamless student experience to those newly admitted. This includes the development of engagement strategies that increase new student registration.
- Evaluate and manage the entire enrollment funnel from potential and prospective students to new student registration.
- Create a culture of student-first decision-making, always keeping student success at the heart of what we do.
- Supervises and participates in the development of press releases, feature stories/articles, and related items.
- Develops and maintains proper budget, fiscal, and personnel resources.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree or significant, relevant experience at senior leadership level in online, higher education
- Three to five years of recent experience in a senior marketing role in online higher education
- Supervisory experience in marketing
- Demonstrated skill in writing, editing, publication production, and project management
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of best practices in online marketing and enrollment management
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others within and external to the College
- Knowledge of and/or experience with enrollment management, digital marketing, SEO and content management technologies
- Demonstrated ability working with diverse populations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a marketing and enrollment management director or higher at a predominately online college, university, or online program manager (OPM).
- Direct experience with scaling enrollment in the online higher education space in the past five years.
