Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a General Carpenter in the Facilities Management Department.
Duties include but are not limited to: completing metal stud framing of walls; suspended ceiling repairs and installations; installation and finishing of drywall; reading and understanding project blueprints; assisting in other carpentry projects; maintaining tools, equipment, shop, and work truck; and performing other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and three (3) years of experience in drywall and general maintenance work are required. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Trades Specialist IV (KC40/61122900/FTE-S00719P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 05. Salary range: $35,360.00 (minimum) to $50,394.00 (midpoint). Normal working hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.). Three (3) years experience in drywall and general maintenance work.
Licensure and/or Certification:Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Working knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in general maintenance. Knowledge of safety practices prevalent to job duties. Skills to make emergency and general repairs and/or adjustments to equipment used in building and maintenance work. Must have experience with drywall installation and repairs. Ability to comprehend blueprints, plans, and specifications, and must be able communicate effectively.
