Description:

Tulane University School of Medicine’s Department of Surgery, Division of Endocrine and Oncological Surgery is currently seeking candidates for a Surgical Oncology clinical faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank.

Responsibilities will include participation in both the academic and research missions of the Tulane Department of Surgery. In addition to clinical duties, it is incumbent to have a strong interest and active participation in the education of fellows, residents and medical students.  The candidate is expected to participate in developing and expanding academic, clinical and basic research activities devoted to the surgical evaluation and management of oncologic surgery.


Qualifications:

Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree.   Candidates should have satisfactorily completed a training program in general surgery accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and be board certified, or eligible if recently trained, and eligible for licensure in Louisiana, with the training to qualify for academic appointment at the Assistant Professor level.  Fellowship training is required in a fellowship program approved by the Society of Surgical Oncology.
