Major/Essential Functions
Works one-on-one with students, faculty, and staff on every aspect of the writing process. Provides writing-related feedback at all levels of writing competency including (but not limited to):organization, rhetorical structure, outlining, thesis, development of argument, and integration of research. Provides writing-related feedback on a broad range of academic papers and professional career-related documents, including (but not limited to): research papers, assignments for courses, c.v. and resumes, personal statements for residency applications.

Will tutor HSC students on writing submissions on as needed basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum two years college-level tutoring or college-level teaching experience, in any discipline. 
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA.
  • Able to critique writing with professionalism and empathy, working with a range of clients: students, faculty, and staff. Proficient in offering online-only feedback, working efficiently in 50-minute sessions, one-on-one.
