Wells College, Aurora, NY invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Hospitality Management position to support a new Bachelor of Science degree program. The position will begin Fall 2023. The new Hospitality Management degree program works closely with key partners in the Finger Lakes region.  We seek a colleague who has a demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion and can teach a variety of theoretical and applied courses in finance and hospitality management field.  These courses may include Hospitality Financial Performance, Principles of Food Service, Revenue Management/Strategy, Specialty Operations, Designing and Marketing Experiences, and Beverage Service in the Finger lakes Region.  The candidate will also be expected to participate in program and college duties including major/minor advising, program assessment, sponsoring internships, involving students in research, periodically contributing to general education curriculum, committee involvement, among others.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants should be committed to innovative teaching and conscientious advising and display a record of scholarly contributions to the field. A completed Ph.D., DBA, or ABD in hospitality management or a related field is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching experience at the college level is strongly preferred.  Experience in the hospitality management industry is also preferred.
