The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks a full-time, University Staff (non-classified) Quality Assurance Program Director (Health Care Program Director) for the Addiction Research and Treatment Services (ARTS) Adult Outpatient Program (AOP). ARTS-AOP is within the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, and has clinic locations in Denver, Aurora and Arvada. AOP clinics provide drug and alcohol assessment, psychosocial and pharmacological treatment for adults, including traditional/enhanced/intensive outpatient programs, as well as specialty services for clients referred by the criminal justice system, county departments of human services, and services for pregnant women, individuals who are HIV-positive and/or gender-responsive services.
This position ensures the missions and treatment philosophies of AOP are implemented consistently, manages the establishment of clinical guidelines and protocols that ensure consistent delivery of clinical services, and reviews/revises AOP policies for quality assurance and compliance purposes. This position also supports drug and alcohol assessment, psychosocial, and pharmacological treatment for adult substance abuse clients at AOP clinics.

The salary range (hiring range) for this position has been established at $84,134-90,000 The salary will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is/is not eligible for overtime compensation.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.

Job Responsibilities:
- Ensures the missions and treatment philosophies of ARTS and the Adult Outpatient Program (AOP) are consistently implemented in AOP treatment programs, and manage, revise and update clinical guidelines and protocols to ensure consistency in delivery of clinical services. Ensure AOP's compliance to applicable University of Colorado and/or external requirements relating to its clinical licensure, provision of patient services, and/or agency accreditation, and manage and coordinate AOP's strategic response to surveys, audits, or interviews from internal and external credentialing agencies and organizations. Oversee all aspects of onboarding processes for administrative and/or clinical staff, schedule clinical training opportunities for AOP staff members, maintain AOP clinical training resources, provide clinical supervision and training to coordinate efforts of AOP clinical teams to provide consistent, effective day-to-day treatment, and ensure that all AOP staff maintain any applicable licensing, credentialing, and/or certifications in good standing. Develop, implement, and oversee Intensive Outpatient (IOP) services and supervise IOP clinical staff. Support all AOP Clinic Managers in clinical activities, provide clinical supervision to AOP staff in training for licensure, and manage AOP's clinical internship opportunities with collaboration from AOP Program Director of Operations.
- Coordinate and actively participate in meetings and discussions with community agencies, referral sources and other external stakeholders in order to increase the overall effectiveness of AOP clinical programs. Provide clinical services on a caseload basis as needed, perform patient intakes, assessments, and discharges, conduct individual or group therapy sessions, and perform other tasks or duties as assigned by the AOP Director or their designee.
- Manage all aspects and supervise project staff (clinicians, peer recovery specialists, etc.) for special projects for the ARTS Adult Outpatient Program (AOP) including, but not limited to: the Ryan White Project (RWP), Integrated Care for Women and Babies (ICWB), Project Bridge, as well as other federal, state and/or city grant-funded projects, and ensure such programs' fidelity to overall project objectives. Effectively manage outreach and communication to community and partner agencies, periodic RWP oversight meetings, satisfy all reporting requirements, develop RWP patient referral sources and manage marketing processes to obtain project referrals, design brochures and other assets to promote RWP, ICWB project and other federal and state grant-funded projects, and manage event development and support for annual Colorado AIDS Walk/Festival for Life, Pride Parade, and other events related to the RWP target populations. Chair and convene the ARTS Quality Assurance Team, manage its projects, and report to AOP Director as appropriate.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a closely-related field from an accredited institution. Minimum of four (4) years of professional level experience in successfully managing grant-funded programs or projects. Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in managing or leading efforts to satisfy government or other regulatory agencies' requirements relating to quality assurance, licensure, compliance or certification for an organization, department, division, or program. Must possess a current and valid licensure in good standing from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC), or Licensed Psychologist (PSY).
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or a closely-related field from an accredited institution. Professional experience working in a substance use disorder treatment program. Professional experience working in a Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. Professional experience providing clinical supervision to individuals seeking to obtain their licensure in the State of Colorado. Professional experience in designing, providing and/or implementing professional development, skills-training, and/or continuing-education programs based on the needs of clinicians. Professional experience in creating, coordinating, and maintaining partnerships with external stakeholders, partners, and/or community agencies. Professional experience in collecting project data, as well as preparing and submitting project reports according to the standards set out by agencies that provide program grants.

Experience using Microsoft Outlook to create, send and receive e-mail communication. Experience with accurate and timely data entry.
