Assistant Professor of Music, Wind Ensemble Director/Upper or Lower Brass Instructor/Music Education.
A tenure track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning August 7, 2023.

Direct the AU Wind Ensemble. Teach applied brass, coach brass chamber music, supervise music education students in student apprenticeship, teach courses in areas of interest and specialty as needed, including music literature, conducting and Music Education courses. Assume a leadership role in the instrumental Music Education area. Maintain a professional profile that reflects the career of a distinguished teacher/conductor/performer; contribute to the enhancement of all facets of the instrumental area.

Required Qualifications
DMA or earned doctorate required. Demonstrated successful experience of conducting/teaching in a university setting; significant professional experience at the national and/or international level as a performer and conductor; demonstrated ability to attract quality undergraduate students. Three or more years of public school experience desirable.

Academic rank, tenure status and salary to be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
