Nature of Work
Postdoctoral fellow's main focus in the Kumar Lab is to study functional analysis of gonadotropin biosynthesis, secretion and action in gonads and bone and adipose tissues using multiple in vivo and in vitro approaches. These include transgenic, cell culture, molecular biological, genetics, biochemical and other physiological approaches.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will not supervise other employees, but when necessary, will provide training and mentoring to graduate students, and lab technicians.

Salary Rate/Range per EPEWA Requirements
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $53,761 to $65,292. Salaries commensurate with experience according to NIH Kirschstein-NRSA guidelines. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

- Work under supervision of Dr. Kumar on research projects including performing experiments
- Interpretation of experimental results, data and statistical analyses.
- Collaborate with mentor and other PRAs/students in the lab.
- Assist in maintaining lab equipment and laboratory maintenance.

- Teach/supervise students and/or research assistants
