The University of Colorado's Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, located at the Anschutz Medical Campus, is an internationally renowned School of Pharmacy and a top tier school. A full-time position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Manisha Patel (https://pharmacy.cuanschutz.edu/patel-lab) funded by NIH and the Dravet Syndrome Foundation. The research involves investigation of metabolic mechanisms in epilepsy in a collaborative and inclusive environment with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. The successful candidate will conduct mechanistic studies on the role of metabolism in patient-derived cell lines and zebrafish models.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $54,835 - $60,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
    A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or PhD in neuroscience, biochemistry, pharmacology, molecular biology or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Experience with biochemical and molecular techniques

Preferred Qualifications
    Experience in Zebrafish husbandry, cell culture, bioenergetics and metabolism

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Excellent organizational skills, ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and work independently. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to interpret and comprehend complex research information. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology, medical terminology.
