Job Summary:

The Instructor reports directly to the Chair for General Education and Developmental Studies. The Developmental Mathematics Instructor is responsible for providing quality instruction. Teaching assignment includes teaching 15 SCH during the spring semester and the fall semester. Teaching assignments are assigned and may include day and evening face-to-face courses, and/or online classes. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or a closely related field required.
Work with students, faculty, and staff members in a professional manner.
Manage the classroom environment- face to face or online, and to manage faculty responsibilities beyond the classroom.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Mathematics or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics is preferred.
Experience in a two-year college or university teaching Mathematics.
Experience serving on college committees.
Experience advising/recruiting students.

Working conditions:
