Role Description
The Centre for Defence Chemistry / Environmental Science and Research Support Group covers a wide range of teaching and research.
About the Role
You will deliver and develop MOD environmental management courses, including a hazardous materials course, to the specifications of the course sponsor and to deliver education at MSc level on the Explosives Ordnance and Engineering MSc. You will provide support to MSc Level project students in the area of explosives in the environment, which includes impact to land, air and water. You will also help grow the research output of the Environmental Sciences Team to enable publication of peer-reviewed papers, and successful research grant applications.
About You
You will have an environmental, engineering science or chemistry PhD. You will have experience of presenting/teaching technical subjects at A-level or above. Laboratory experience, particularly in handing explosives, and knowledge of MOD structure and practice is essential. You will also have a strong background in organic/environmental chemistry/engineering and knowledge of environmental management.
