Position Summary:Prairie State College seeks to fill teaching positions for in-person classes Spring 2023
Semester begins the week of January 17 and ends May 18.
BIO 100 (General Education Biology) 4 credit hours, 12 or 16-week course
This one-semester introductory course for non-science majors is designed to fill the general education requirement for life science with a laboratory. The course covers cell biology, genetics, evolution and diversity, plant and animal structure and functions, animal behavior, and ecology. Students cannot receive credit for both BIOL 100 and 112.
Master of Science with minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in biology or closely related area.
Experience in teaching Biology at the college level.
Experience in conducting biology lab activities in the above listed area at the college level.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience using an LMS.
PhD. in Biology or closely related area.
Online teaching certification.
