Job Summary

The School of Nursing and Health Sciences seeks dynamic candidate for a faculty position in nursing. Due to unprecedented opportunities and new funding, the nursing department is growing and adding new programs/program tracks. To address the nursing shortage, the program is focusing on strategies to help increase student success, retention, and graduation rates. This is a 12-month non-tenure track contract. The contract is expected to begin August 1, 2022.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities -
-Review and assess data regarding student performance and success
-Develop improvement plans and success strategies with the dean, chair, faculty and students to increase retention and graduation rates
-Serve as assigned mentor to assist and tutor students, and plan/lead remediation time in lab
-Assist with planning and leading new student orientation
-Teach courses as needed
-Travel may be required to visit students in clinical setting
-Provide oral/written reports as requested to dean, chair, faculty, administration, advisory board, and hospital administration
-Perform other essential duties as requested by the School Chair/Dean

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
-Masters Degree in Nursing

Other Required Qualifications
-Must possess a current valid drivers license with acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review.

Required Experience
-Teaching in a nursing program

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
-Certified Nurse Educator (CNE)

Preferred Educational Qualifications
-Doctoral degree

Preferred Experience
-ACEN accredited program and accreditation process

Proposed Salary

$75,000
