In anticipation of possible openings for the upcoming fall and/or spring semesters, the English Department invites applications for part-time and/or full-time non-tenure track teaching positions. • Masters's or Doctoral degree in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing, or an MFA in Creative Writing.
• Successful experience teaching Creative Writing at the college level, with experience teaching Creative Writing at ISU preferred.
• State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.

1. Cover letter that describes your teaching interests and qualifications for teaching creative writing courses.
3. Teaching Statement that addresses: (1) your ideas, rationales, and methods for teaching creative writing in general; (2) how you teach an introductory creative writing course designed to expose students to a range of genres and writing methods; (3) how you might teach an intermediate undergraduate creative writing course in fiction, nonfiction, and, or hybrid writing.
4. A 12-page sample of your own creative writing.
5. Sample Course Plan and/or Syllabus: A full course plan and/or syllabus for an undergraduate introductory creative writing course. Your course plan and/or syllabus should include a detailed schedule, a clear list of learning outcomes, a rationale or set of rationales for those outcomes, what genres students will engage with, your approach to assessment and grading; and anything else you deem suitable.
6. Reference list (at least three professional references and contact information)
