Overview
Under supervision, incumbents provide lead direction, training and/or mentorship to lower level Youth Leaders (Youth Leader I).

In addition to the *duties and responsibilities listed under Youth Leader I, Youth Leader II may participate in developing program activities beyond day to day events and have responsibility for overseeing a larger group of participants.



Responsibilities
  • Provide lead direction to Youth Leader I’s.
  • Participate in developing program goals/themes.
  • Supervise children in camp, daycare, and other recreational activities.
  • Plan and implement day-to-day activities for children.
  • Ensure safety, follow emergency procedures.
  • Assist in general clean-up of program space.
  • May also be peer mentor, providing guidance on social concerns, conflict resolution, college entrance, etc.


Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
  • One or more years of previous experience as a youth leader, camp counselor, or equivalent


Desired Qualifications:
  • Four year degree.
  • Experience in working with Middle/High School Aged Students.
  • Knowledge in coordinating large educational events.
  • Facilitating and Creating Project Based Learning curriculum.
