Position Description:
The Program Coordinator will provide general program support, including but not limited to meeting preparation and logistics, data collection and data maintenance, event planning, and administrative/technical support to the professional staff and volunteers of the UCLA Volunteer Center. He/She will be responsible for organizing and executing event logistics, and organizing and monitoring the paper and computer work flow of various projects. The Program Coordinator will also handle public contact on the telephone and in person to provide service to student and Volunteer Center clients, participating in the hiring process and supervision of part-time personnel and volunteers, and other duties and project support as needed.

The 2010 edition of U.S. News & World Report ranked UCLA as the 24th best university in the nation and 32nd best in the world. In the 2007 edition of U.S. News and World Report, UCLA Medical Center was ranked best in the West, as well as one of the top 3 hospitals in the United States alongside Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. In 15 of the 16 medical specialty areas examined, UCLA Medical Center ranked in the top 20.
