Departmental Objective:

To provide safe and efficient Parking Services campus-wide in a professional, well-organized manner. To assist campus administrators, faculty/staff, students, and visitors with parking and transportation needs on a daily basis, and during conferences, events, and athletics events, as they occur on the CNU campus, or any alternate locations that may be required for access to such events scheduled on the CNU campus.

Purpose of the Position:

The primary purpose of this position is to keep CNU parking decks and parking lots clean of debris, and ensure they are well maintained and kept in good condition, and to provide and ensure proper maintenance of Auxiliary Services vehicles and fleet vehicles. This position also provides training to authorized University personnel operating University golf carts, street sweeping equipment, and forklift equipment, as applicable.

Required:
Ability to work independently.

Ability to exercise independent judgment in applying policies and procedures required.

Skills and abilities to perform basic vehicle maintenance while coordinating repairs and routine maintenance with outside third-party vendors.

Knowledge and skills necessary to perform light housekeeping\janitorial work.

Ability to operate a street sweeper and forklift equipment.

Ability to train others in the use and operation of golf carts, street sweeper, and forklift equipment.

Must have the ability to work outside in varying temperatures.

The ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.

The ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Tolerate frequent bending and stooping.

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required :

Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license required.

Experience Required:
Basic vehicle maintenance experience.

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Preferred :

Education Preferred:
Previous training in safe use of street sweeper and forklift equipment.
Experience Preferred: Previous work experience in a Parking and Transportation Services department, in a college or university setting.

Salary Information:

Starting at $35,500, Commensurate with Education and Experience
