Missouri Southern State University invites applications for a tenure-track full-time on campus Assistant Professor of English beginning fall of 2023. Specialization is open, but experts in global literature, trans-Atlantic literature, or American literature before 1865 are encouraged to apply. As a generalist, the successful candidate will teach twelve credit hours per semester in general education literature and composition classes. In addition, they will periodically develop special topics classes in literature for English majors.

The position requires a demonstrated commitment to teaching and advising at the undergraduate level. Candidates will have or expect to receive their Ph.D. in English before August 1, 2023.
