Revised - Two Positions

Kean University seeks two Executive Assistant 4 positions to provide executive-level support and manage a high volume workload in a fast-paced environment. The Executive Assistant 4 will effectively prioritize the needs of the office and executive(s) they support.

The Executive Assistant 4 for the Office of the President directly supports the Office of the President and the Executive Assistant to the President, assisting with day-to-day operations for the office and providing exemplary customer service. The Executive Assistant manages information flow and expedites work through the appropriate channels; works to ensure robust on-site support and backup coverage; assumes responsibility for aspects of operations as directed; and does related work as required.

The Executive Assistant 4 for the Senior Vice President for Student Success and Special Counsel to the Office of the President assists with day-to-day operations for all offices and work streams in the Senior Vice President’s portfolio. The Executive Assistant manages information flow and expedites work through the appropriate channels; assumes responsibility in all aspects of the operations under the direction of the Senior Vice President; manages the office; and does related work as required.

Both positions require a flexible schedule including occasional evening and weekend hours and may require travel.

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience supporting senior level executives in a fast-paced environment is required. Two years of related professional experience may also be considered. Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute indicated experience on a year-for-year basis. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of personnel and stakeholders. Excellent customer service skills and written and oral communication skills are essential.
