Job Summary
Position is responsible for one of the four following programs within the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid: management of graduate funds and departmental awards; coordination of the review of applicants for financial aid programs; coordination of the HOPE Scholarship; and the daily administration of Georgia Tech's need-based federally supported student employment program. Interact with prospective and enrolled students, parents, staff, departmental supervisors, OHR/Payroll, Georgia Student Finance Commission and other external entities.
ResponsibilitiesJob Duty 1 -
Coordinate the awarding of departmental awards and collaborate with academic units, the Business Office and external entities that provide funds to students. Assist the Director in managing funds/accounts in which OSFA is named by OSP as the PI. Review
Coordinate the review of applicants for financial aid programs; certify and monitor eligibility for a designated case load. Execute SQL queries; evaluate date; investigate and collect information related to the student's eligibility, preparing reports and documenting compliance with all program/fund requirements. Communicate with students and parents as required.Job Duty 3 -
Monitor continuously, HOPE recipients to provide that all regulations, policies and procedures are followed; review academic transcripts and evaluate credits and grades for all HOPE recipients; prepare and conduct information sessions/presentations; manage correspondence with prospective and enrolled students regarding their eligibility for HOPE.Job Duty 4 -
Manage the awarding, placement and monitor earnings for FWS recipients. Coordiante job postings and student awards with departmental supervisors. Coordinate the management of the fund with accountants, OHR and Payroll offices. Maintain fund records andJob Duty 5 -

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Required Qualifications
Student financial aid experience, advising students and/or managing student financial aid program(s) at an institution of similar size/type
Required Experience
Three to five years job related experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to execute SQL queries; prepare/utilize Excel spreadsheets
SKILLS
knowledge of BANNER Financial Aid System
