Adjunct Instructor - GTE Lancaster POSITION SUMMARY:

To serve as an adjunct faculty member for the ESL, Literacy and Reading Specialist programs. Courses will be offered online in a mostly asynchronous format. (Course descriptions here).

Adjunct Faculty are higher education instructors who are contracted on a term-by-term basis to teach an undergraduate or graduate course in face-to-face, hybrid, or online format. Course load not to exceed 17 semester hours per calendar year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Terminal degree in Education or a related field preferred. Previous online college teaching experience in the discipline is preferred.

Experience: Teaching or training experience required. At least 5 years of experience in a related field. Work experience in related professional field (if applicable).

Competencies:

    Strong interpersonal skills

    Time management skills. Instructors must be able to devote adequate time to courses, communicating timely feedback and engaging regularly in discussions.

    Planning and Organizational skills

    Effective written and oral communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Within the general range of an office environment.
