The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Neurology has an opening for a full-time Assistant Professor.
Nature of Work
Outpatient clinical and telemedicine care of children with neurologic disorders specializing in management of epilepsy, headaches, abnormal movements, ketogenic diet, and lumbar punctures. Also able to see inpatient acute neurocritical care patients, perform lumbar punctures and complete admissions and discharges for the inpatient EEG monitoring unit

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at: $120,510

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Masters of Physician assistant studies and NCCPA exam certification
- Eligible for licensure in Colorado as a Physican Assistant (PA)
Conditions of Employment
- Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado.
- Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong communication skills
- Broad knowledge and clinical skills in general pediatric neurology
- Commitment to Patient Safety, Quality Care, Communication, and Customer Service
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years as a neurology APP
- Experience in intractable epilepsy or ketogenic diet care
- Able and willing to work inpatient and outpatient
- Willingness to serve on Wellness Committee
- Undergraduate degree in Spanish Language studies
