The Office of Undergraduate Admissions has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Assistant Director of Undergraduate Outreach and Admissions Pathways position.

Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Recruitment within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and K12 Outreach this position is responsible for the oversight of Community Outreach, Admissions Pathways, K12 Partnerships, and the "College Lynx" Dual Enrollment program. This position will directly supervise 1-2 Graduate Assistant student employees.

The Assistant Director supports the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach by assisting with the recruitment and promotion of the professional academic "College Lynx" dual enrollment programs on the University of Colorado Denver Campus to K-12 students, parents, and community leaders. Oversees the coordination and implementation of the CU Denver Campus undergraduate outreach, including managing the existing partnerships with area high schools and nonprofit organizations (such as Denver Scholarship Foundation, Daniels Fund, College Track, and others) along with building, developing, and managing new partnerships.

The position will make presentations to high school and community college administrators, counselors (at high schools and community colleges), community organizations, parents, and students in relationship to the goals and objectives of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach's Partnerships and Pipeline programs; Identify and select program participants based on criteria developed by this position with insight from other Admissions and Enrollment Management leadership partners; Develop the College Lynx Dual Enrollment program in its entirety including marketing, recruitment, and implementation of office procedures. Develops new opportunities for partnerships and pipeline programs. Assist in providing guidance, management, and leadership for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach. Develops and implements goals and objectives for the department.

Examples of Work Performed

College Lynx Dual Enrollment Program
    Lead the College Lynx Dual Enrollment Program efforts through research to establish a data-driven, collaborative strategy for the recruitment of K12 Partner High Schools and High School Students for Dual Enrollment. Develop and implement strategies across campus that ensure the success of the Dual Enrollment Program and Yield. Meet with high school and district staff to determine recruitment strategies. Make formal recruitment presentations to high school and community college administrators, counselors (at high schools and community colleges), community organizations, parents, and students in relation to the goals and objectives of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach's partnerships and Pipeline programs. Recruit students into the program. Effectively manage and navigate the recruitment process in the Admissions Slate CRM for tracking prospective students through pipeline programs. Establish and maintain relationships with recruitment staff within the colleges & schools to ensure interdepartmental collaboration. Develop and execute a yield strategy for "College Lynx" Dual Enrollment students to apply as degree-seeking students in their final year of high school. Make recommendations to the Director of Recruitment and the AVC for Strategic Enrollment regarding financial aid scholarships, events, family nights, and other yield-related initiatives. Develop assessments and metrics to measure the efficacy of the dual enrollment program, and distribute reports to the Admissions leadership team providing outcomes of the program. Supervise 1-2 Student Employees to support this recruitment and program administrative efforts.

Partnerships and Pipeline Programs
    Develop a data-driven strategy for the university to create and enhance partnerships and admissions pathways (pipeline) programs that attract, recruit, admit and enroll academically talented and diverse resident and nonresident undergraduate students. Market programs to educational agencies target high school counselors, high school and community college administrators, and other community partners that work with K-12 youth. Crafting a recruitment strategy, identifying opportunities for partnerships Partner with the Admissions Events team to schedule on-campus events and group visits for partnership groups. Collaborate with Admissions Communication & Enrollment Marketing teams to create impactful content and stories across a range of mediums to drive prospective students to take intentional actions to increase participation and yield from admissions pathways (pipeline) programs. Develop and implement the grant-guided Career Pathway program to advance Denver Public Schools students through the CU Denver system. Support the development of CU Denver pipelines from DPS programs such as Career Pathways Grant and Adhere to all grant guidelines.

Leadership
    Serve as a member of the management team within the Undergraduate Admissions & Outreach team. Recommend strategies, partnerships, programs, and technologies that will advance recruitment and outreach efforts of the University. Actively engage in cross-team project planning and management.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $58,480 - 60,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.

The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

FLSA Status: Not eligible for overtime (exempt)

Qualifications
​​​ Minimum Qualifications:
    A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. 4+ years of professional experience working in a higher education recruitment/admissions role, or in a role with responsibility for dual or concurrent enrollment (at the high school or collegiate level), in a sales or business development role, or in a community outreach role, a combination of the above.

Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:
    The above plus: 1+ years' managerial experience working in a higher education recruitment/admissions role, or in a role with responsibility for dual or concurrent enrollment (at the high school or collegiate level), or in a sales or business development role, or in a community outreach role, a combination of the above. Experience with Slate CRM. Experience managing professional or student staff.
