Student Conduct & Community Standards

The Division of Student Life at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville invites applications for the coordinator position for Student Conduct & Community Standards. This is an exempt, 12-month, full time, non-tenure track staff position.

Student Conduct & Community Standards develops student integrity and accountability through an educational, consistent, and equitable conduct process.

The Position:

Reporting to the Associate/Assistant Director, the primary duties of the coordinator for Student Conduct & Community Standards are as follows:

    Investigate and adjudicate student conduct violations, including student organization misconduct casesServe as liaison between department and community partnersHold follow up and probation meetings with studentsSupervise graduate assistant(s) Supervise practicum student(s)Assist with the selection and training of graduate assistant staff and practicum studentsCoordinate, develop, and present trainings to faculty, staff, & studentsAdvise and present to on-campus and off-campus entities regarding university policy and interpret the UT standards of conductServe as liaison between department and other campus & community partnersCollaborate with campus entities regarding educational sanction programsServe on campus committees as assignedAssist with collection of data and office assessment efforts

    Bachelor’s degree
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

    Strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to cultivate and maintain relationships and university students, faculty, and staffAbility to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneouslyKnowledge of best practices, policies, and legal issues in the field

Salary:

$41,000-44,000. Commensurate with experience and other qualifications and is accompanied by a full university benefits package.
