Administrative Associate II

Location: Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology, the University of Tennessee, Institute of Agriculture.  Knoxville, Tennessee.

Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of this position will be to coordinate the daily activities of the PSEP office and provide financial support to the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology and 3rd Creek building general administrations.  While working with PSEP (Pesticide Safety Education Program), position will be responsible for collecting, receipting, and recording registrations for certification program. Some proctoring and grading of certification tests will be required.

This includes:

• Answering and screening phone calls, securing deliveries and coordinating pick up from labs, handling administrative paperwork, and coordinating meetings, events, and conferences

• Receipting or depositing responsibilities will be alternated

• Assistance with ledger reconciliations

• Assistance with travel reimbursements

• Data Entry for research projects

• General assistance monitoring service areas in 3rd creek



Qualifications
Qualifications: 

High School Diploma or equivalency is required with 2 years of experience of business administrative or financial responsibilities. 

• Intermediate skills in windows professional package

• Able to multi task and prioritize competing priorities

• Able to keep sensitive information confidential

• Organized to coordinate events and meetings

• Able to effectively present materials both in person and via web     communications with excellent customer service

• Able to Interpret and apply policy on daily varied tasks

• Detailed attention required to maintain accurate records and accurate math skills

Preferred Qualifications:

An associate degree in business administration accounting is preferred.

• Able to use independent judgment, decision making, organization, and specialized knowledge of the pesticide safety program material.

• Must be able to effectively read and interpret PSEP materials to relay correct information to clients.

• UT Financial Experience including Concur or IRIS/SAP
