General Summary

This posting will remain open until filled.

Equity and inclusion are essential to Highline College's mission. Highline uses a praxis of social justice when approaching daily work and initiatives. In order to improve the work that is being done, and move the college to be more effective in this space, the college seeks a strategic, forward-thinking, and dynamic visionary leader to serve as the first Vice President for Equity, Diversity, and Transformation.

The Vice President for Equity, Diversity, and Transformation (VP EDT) will report directly to the president, serve on the college's Leadership Team (Executive Cabinet), and advise the president, vice presidents, and college community as a whole, on matters relating to equity, diversity and transformation and its impact on the college community. While this critical work is the responsibility of everyone at the college, this position will guide the college community in expanding and extending the values of diversity, equity and transformation through teaching, scholarship, and broad engagement of students, faculty, and staff.

The VP EDT will engage with the campus community and use findings from a recent climate survey to assess current practices and develop innovative initiatives, practices, policies, and structures that foster a more inclusive, welcoming, supportive, and diverse college community.
