Job Description
University of Maryland School of Dentistry is currently seeking a part-time (.50 FTE) microbiology instructor to collaborate in teaching various microbiology courses for dental and dental hygiene students. Preferred candidates are enthusiastic about content and pedagogy, use best teaching practices, and are committed to student learning.

Teaching and Scholarly Responsibilities:

    Develop and design engaging course content and prepare related exam questions Use Blackboard to communicate the course materials and other student support resources Maintain and update course materials Effectively communicate with students via e-mail or phone
 



Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

    Terminal degree (Ph.D./M.D./D.D.S) with an education background in microbiology Teaching experience at an undergraduate and/or graduate level Experience teaching face-to-face, online, hybrid, and/or blended learning Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students Familiarity with Blackboard or any learning management system (LMS)
