Job Description:

Enterprise Desktop Analysis:
Provide capacity and resource planning for the UF Health IT enterprise desktop management system. Redesign, implement and oversee the system access for the physical and virtual (VDI) enterprise desktop systems assisting Customer Support Services with their ability to manage enterprise devices. While providing a high level of support and management for the UF Health IT enterprise desktop management system, steps will be taken to improve the following processes: Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Workstation Inventory, Unmanaged Device Discovery, Operating System imaging & migration, Patch management, Mobile Device Management, Software distribution, Software licensing, Internet management gateway and Reporting. Decisions will be made on the ongoing analysis of this system, application and all the processes impacting all integrated UF Health units.

Enterprise Desktop Protection:
Upgrade, re-design and manage a leading industry's device protection system while consolidating various systems that have redundant backend infrastructures. While reducing the support of multiple systems, analysis will be made to enhance the current UF Health IT enterprise desktop protection system. This includes following items: Develop and implement policies that improve the security viewpoint, Virus protection, Malware protection, Host based Firewall services, Disk Encryption, Patching recommendations based on existing vulnerabilities and policy enforcement.
Responsible for developing and implementing strategic recommendations in regard to security improvements on workstation operating systems like Windows and Apple Macintosh for all integrated UF Health units.

Enterprise Service Desk Management:
Provide capacity and resource planning for the UF Health IT enterprise Service Desk system that includes incident management, change management, knowledge management and self-service. Manage the service management system as well as redesign and document system access to allow the Identity Access Management team the ability to make modifications. Communicate problems, changes, enhancements, new technologies and policies with steering committees, key customers and management to improve support and services. Redesign web self-service portal and make it user friendly and improve the aesthetics based on industry standards.

Support additional Client/Server Integration Applications and Tools:
Provide backup support for various UF Health IT products and tools including, but not limited to, Mobile Device Management, LANDesk Asset Management and the Hitachi Password Manager. Communicate problems, technologies and policies with peers and management.

Expected Salary:
$70,000 - $73,000

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of enterprise desktop management, service management, asset management, corporate endpoint protection, virtual desktop infrastructure, or mobile device management application experience is strongly preferred.

Hands-on experience with the following products is desired: Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Apple Mac, Apple iOS, Android OS, desktop management software, Microsoft Office, patch management tools, VMWare VDI Management, VMWare Workspace One, Microsoft Active Directory, endpoint protection software, service management software and hardware experience with various desktops, laptops and printers such as Dell, Lenovo, HP and Apple.

Familiarity with the following products is considered a plus: Microsoft Servers, Microsoft Print Services, Suse Linux, VMWare Server and Workstation, Citrix Presentation Server, Nimbus Monitoring Solution, full disk Encryption administration.

Ability to determine the level of effort and time required to complete tasks.

Ability to complete tasks within the assigned timeline.

Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment to achieve corporate objectives along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Outstanding customer services skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical staff and a diverse customer base preferred.
