Applications are invited for a Temporary 24 month post (Ideally commencing January 2023) of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 (x2 posts) within UCD School of Computer Science.

The primary purpose of the role is to work on the design and development of models and tools for machine-learning based data processing, data analytics and recommender systems in various domains, such as energy, environment, health and fitness. It is expected that the successful candidate will develop new or advanced research artefacts associated with various research projects and will publish in top level peer-reviewed academic venues.

This is a research focused role, where the successful candidate will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator. In this role, there will be an opportunity to further develop research skills and competencies and to develop skills in research-led teaching. This includes the processes of publication in peer-reviewed academic publications, the development of funding proposals and the mentorship of graduate students. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a team of world-class experts in Data Analytics, Machine Learning and Recommender Systems in ambitious research and development projects. The candidate will contribute to the success of the projects and to the improvement of the team's skills and expertise.

Salary scale: POST DOC LEVEL 1: 41,209 - 47,477 per annum

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
