The university is organized into our College of Art, Culture, and Scientific Inquiry; College of Education; Richards College of Business; University College; School of Communication, Film, and Media; Tanner Health System School of Nursing; Honors College; Graduate School; UWG Newnan; and our UWG Douglasville Center.

Job Summary

Provides administrative support for all functional areas of UWG Newnan. Areas include but are not limited to our concierge services approach, facility management, and events. Types of duties may include but are not limited to excellent customer service, preparing documents, maintaining service records, etc. Facility management and events may include but are not limited to assisting with projects and monitoring the activities and safety of all patrons who enter the space. This position will help the Director manage the logistics of the Newnan event experiences for all guests.

Required Qualifications

Must be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours.

Must have a cumulative 2.75 grade-point average.

Preferred Qualifications

Work experience that can be demonstrated and applied to the duties listed in the job description is required.

Proficient with the use of standard software applications and systems (i.e., Microsoft Office and Google Suites) with an ability to learn.

Proficient with using standard office equipment (i.e., phone, computer/laptop, shredder, copier/fax, etc.)

Excellent grammar and typing skills.

Able to successfully multitask/balance work and school to complete assignments.

Strong analytical, evaluative, objective, and critical thinking skills.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

The position exists in an administrative office setting and includes long periods of sitting, typing, and editing; deadlines for various work products; and requires frequent use of standard office equipment. Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds and move about the campus unimpeded. Regular and timely attendance is required to meet the demands of the office and provide the necessary support services.
