The College of Nursing approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and that's thanks to our innovative, challenging, and contemporary curriculum offered across all our various degree programs.  Advanced degree options are available for the bachelor and masters prepared nurse with our Doctor of Nursing Practice programs, PhD in Nursing, and Post Master's Certificates.  CON graduates leave our programs ready to lead and serve our nation's patients. Job Summary   This position maintains academic records and coordinates administrative processes for all students in the College of Nursing (CON) at all campus locations.  Provides backup support for other Academic & Student Affairs administrative support positions as required.  Conducts all operations and communications related to Academic and Student Affairs in a professional manner including respectful and timely communication.  Performs all operations related to Academic and Student Affairs working professionally and/or collaboratively with CON departments and Campus departments staff and faculty. Responsibilities    The duties include, but are not limited to:Provide primary administrative support for the Associate Dean of Student Affairs to include coordinating meetings, calendar management, travel, expense reports, projects, correspondences, etc. Coordinate and Facilitate Student Records Management. Ensure collection of orientation forms.In collaboration with the CON Communications Strategist and the AU Development Officer, manage and update the Scholarship Web Page. Manage and update Scholarship Universe in collaboration with the Office of Financial Aid.  Announce the scholarships to the students and work with the Student Affairs Class Officers to promote the scholarships to the students. Ensure all students are eligible for the scholarships that have applied. Distribute the scholarships to the Scholarship Committee and notify the students of scholarship recipients.Collaborate with BSN and CNL Class Officers to schedule meetings with the Associate Dean of Student Affairs, maintain the Student Organization Bylaws, and collaborates with the CON Communications Specialist to manage and update the Student Organization web page. Collaborates with the Class Officers on the development and distribution of a Student Newsletter.Maintain the semester enrollment report, notebooks, and bi-monthly admission report. Assist Academic and Student Affairs Administrator with collection of data for surveys.Collaborate with the Program Mangers to Ensure Compliance with campus deadlines for student registration, verification of class rosters, submission of Curriculum Inventory Reports, and end of semester grade reports. In collaboration with the Associate Dean of Student Affairs, plan and implement the Academic Standards Hearing Committees to include organizing documents, setting up meeting room, notification of all parties involved, setting up notary, etc. Participate in cross training in Student and Academic Affairs, Maintains accurate and up to date desk references (SOPs) for all responsibilities. Assist with events as needed (i.e. orientation, open houses, convocation, white coat, scholarship ceremony, etc.).Perform other duties and/or activities as needed and/or directed to support the College of Nursing. Required Qualifications   Associate degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of three years of experience performing secretarial/clerical duties in an office setting. OR High school diploma or GED and six years of progressive responsible experience in an office setting.
    Preferred Qualifications   Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with progressively responsible experience in administrative support. 3-4 years previous experience in an academic or higher education setting. Proficiency with Banner. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities   Excellent customer service, multi-tasking, and organizational skills. verbal/written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.Proficient with Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Meet deadlines despite often interruptions, maintain confidentiality, keep accurate records, and make independent decisions. Shift/Salary/Benefits   Shift: Days Mon-Fri.
    Pay Grade: 10
    Salary Minimum: $15.00
    Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
