Job Summary:
The Clinical Assistant Professor of Child &Adolescent Psychiatry position will be in the Department of Psychiatry andBehavioral Sciences. This position is actively involved in providingclinical services in the OSU System. Additionally, teaching of medical studentsand residents. Appropriate effort and activity in clinical research and servicewill also be necessary as well as a clinical record of sufficient depth toqualify for faculty appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. The position will work with existing Psychiatryand Behavioral Sciences faculty.

Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carrypush, and pull 20 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk,hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonableaccommodations. Sufficient to carry out specific job functions of apsychiatrist.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:
-D.O. or M.D. degree
-Eligibility for licensure in the state of Oklahoma
-Board certification in psychiatry by the American Osteopathic Association orAmerican Board of Medical Specialties, or, board eligibility
-A devoted interest in education
-On Dec. 7, 2021, a federal judge temporarily blocked the implementation of thefederal contractor vaccination mandate and its associated guidance. Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:
Knowledge of all areas related to the clinical practice of psychiatry.Requires strong analytical skills, advanced multi-tasking skills, advancedproblem-solving skills, practice management experience, and the ability toeffectively plan. Computer skills are needed to operate electronic medicalrecords. Good communication and leadership skills are a positive. Interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with faculty,students, clients and providers.
