Organizational Unit Overview:The Department of Educational Leadership is one of six instructional departments within the ECU College of Education. It currently has 3 graduate and post-graduate programs.
Job Duties :The Department of Educational Leadership in the College of Education at East Carolina University seeks two applicants for a full time fixed-term clinical faculty position in K12 Educational Leadership at the assistant or associate level. The candidate will teach in the department’s K12 programs areas. Depending on the candidate’s K12 leadership experience, the candidate may teach principal preparation courses, teach specialist and doctoral courses for district level K12 leadership, and /or assist with dissertation coaching.
The successful candidate will join a department faculty engaged in educational scholarship and service in rural, eastern North Carolina as well as international educational experiences. The department is committed to leadership for social and equity and currently offers Master’s in School Administration, Educational Specialist, Educational Doctorate degree (K12 and Higher Education Concentrations), and a Dual Language Administration Certificate.
Contingent upon availability of funding.
EdD or PhD in Educational Leadership; evidence of K12 administration experience; excellent oral and written communication skills; and evidence of outstanding teaching experience. Qualifying degrees must be conferred and received from appropriately accredited institutions.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation :A current administration license.
