Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 40 hours per week; some early mornings, evenings, weekends, & holidays required

Job Summary: The Coordinator of Diversity and Inclusion Programs is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing comprehensive diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and events.

Additional Department Summary:The Programming Coordinator for Diversity Equity and Inclusion researches, creates, implements, and assesses divisional events for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Partners with divisional departments (Intercultural Diversity Center, Safe Zone Resource Center, etc.). Collaborates with faculty, staff, faculty resource groups, student groups, campus departments, businesses, vendors, and community members to achieve divisional and institutional goals. Participates in advocacy efforts, civic engagement, and a demonstrated commitment to social justice and equality for all communities. Setup ticketing systems, meeting platforms, and assessment software such as Zoom and Teams. Records, films, edits, and shoots videography and photography of programs for marketing efforts and archival purposes. Completes required training that is related to laws and regulations, that creates a more hospitable and respectful workplace and safer work environment. Holds staff accountable for the completion of required training. Has personal accountability for financial reporting and responsibility for establishing, enforcing, and following internal processes and controls as outlined in UA policies and procedures.

Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years experience in event planning, marketing, videography, photography, communications, public relations, hospitality management, or working with or supervising student staff, advising student program boards, or organizations. Must be able to work early mornings and frequent nights and weekends. Some travel may be required.

Skills and Knowledge:Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple shifting priorities and deadlines. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Ability to work with a diverse population and students. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written communications. Understanding of and ability to use social media platforms. Campaign management, public relations, graphic design, website management via WordPress, event planning, student development brand management, social and digital media management, and Adobe Creative Cloud skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in higher education, management, marketing, communication, public relations, hospitality management, or closely related field. Some experience in working with Zoom, Teams, Microsoft Office suite, and Adobe Cloud suits. Some experience in editing software, camera, and lighting. Some experience in student development and fiscal experience of over $5000. Some experience working in a highly confidential, fast-paced environment with multiple shifting priorities.
