The University of Redlands is seeking to fill a part-time faculty position at the level of Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders beginning January 2023. We are an ASHA accredited program with a strong commitment to communication sciences and the liberal arts at the undergraduate level, as well as the academic and clinical preparation of graduate students in speech-language pathology. The areas of expertise are open, although we will give preference to those applicants who can enrich our existing curriculum. This position would require teaching and/or supervising, and the workload would consist of teaching/supervising two courses/clinics per semester.

The University of Redlands seeks candidates who have experience working with students from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Candidates who apply are asked to identify their strengths and experiences in assisting diverse student populations to accomplish curricular goals. The successful candidate will be expected to support the College of Arts and Science's new general education curriculum for undergraduate students.

The University is located sixty miles east of downtown Lost Angeles, in a town of 70,000. The campus is surrounded by orange groves and sits at the base of the San Bernardino Mountains, one hour from the coast, and 45 minutes from Palm Springs.

POSITION CRITERIA: Eligible candidates will have an earned a Master's degree or a doctorate (e.g., Speech-Language Pathology-Clinical Doctorate). The Certificate of Clinical Competence and eligibility for a state license in speech-language pathology are required. We welcome applicants with diverse areas of expertise. Experience in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level is desirable, as is a background that includes providing clinical services. We value an active or potential research program that fosters student engagement. A commitment to participation in service at the department and university levels is important.
