Job Details

CAPS is offering a full-time faculty position for an Associate Director for Training. The CAPS Associate Director for Training is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic vision for all aspects of CAPS training program, which includes training in the fields of psychology, social work and professional counseling. These programs are offered at the practicum, internship and post-doc level. The position also acquires and manages feedback regarding staff performance and completes timely annual evaluations for their direct reports, primarily other coordinators within the training program.
Requirements include a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA accredited institution, the completion of an APA (or equivalent) internship, licensure as a Psychologist (with Georgia license acquired within 6 months of start date), two years’ experience in an administrative or supervisory role, and two years’ experience directing or coordinating practicum student, intern, and/or post-doctoral fellow training within the college counseling environment. Preferences for the position include three years’ experience providing clinical supervision, five years’ experience post-licensure providing psychological evaluation and treatment, four or more years’ experience in the evaluation and treatment of individuals whose age and psychological development are similar to traditional and non-traditional college students, training and four years or more of experience working with individuals from traditionally underserved populations – first generation, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, Latinx, rural, veterans, and three years’ experience providing clinical supervision within a formal training program.
