Job Summary::Are you a self-motivated instructor with experience infusing GeoScience technology into the classroom? Are you a demonstrated leader with experience in curriculum development? If so, then Kalamazoo Valley Community College may have the ideal part-time opportunity for you.
KVCC is seeking an experienced GeoSciences instructor, to teach GeoSciences. You may be expected to teach geology, geography, and geotechnology (GIS, remote sensing, etc.) Individuals should be familiar with a variety of instructional strategies, possess knowledge of different learning styles, and have an understanding of the community college philosophy.
Duties will include teaching GEO 110 Physical Geology day and evening courses, developing curriculum, and participating in departmental and college activities.
A Masters Degree in a GeoSciences field is required. Alternatively, a Master’s in a related field with 18 graduate semester hours in GeoSciences is required.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience::Experience with curriculum development is preferred.
Experience with integrating geotechnologies in courses and labs is preferred.
Work hours are based on classes taught and may vary.
