The Montana State University (MSU) Library seeks a student-focused and creative individual to serve as an Instructional Technology Librarian who will lead the development, implementation, and assessment of the library’s online education infrastructure. This faculty position supports teaching and learning in areas focused on instructional technology and pedagogy, classroom technologies, and digital learning objects. This librarian will help us leverage technologies and pedagogical approaches that create new ideas and ways of knowing.
We are seeking an individual who has experience with library and information instruction including technology-focused learning trends and best practices. The librarian in this role will develop instructional offerings, support existing users, and engage with technology to reach new audiences. They will work closely with colleagues across the library to implement new technologies and changes in current instructional processes. This individual will also collaborate with students and instructors across campus, and other MSU entities that support technology and learning such as Academic Technology & Outreach and the Center for Faculty Excellence.
The successful candidate will work professionally with diverse individuals, possess effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and will contribute positively to the academic success of the students and the mission of Montana State University.
