Position Summary:

The Sport Management program in the Department of Health Sciences in the School of Education and Health Sciences at North Central College is excited to announce a search for a collaborative and innovative full-time non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Sport Management, to start August 1, 2023.

The successful candidate will join the faculty in the Sport Management undergraduate program and the Master of Arts in Sports Leadership program. The dynamic and fast-growing Sport Management program includes an innovative internship experience, an active student association, and partnerships in the Chicago area. In addition to teaching, responsibilities entail providing oversight of Sport Leadership courses within the Masters of Leadership program. Teaching assignments will vary each semester based on course needs in the Sport Management program and the candidate’s skill set and interest.

Qualifications include a doctoral degree in Sport Management or a related field from an accredited institution and evidence of successful teaching experience at the college level. An ongoing or developing scholarly agenda within the context of Sport Management or Leadership, such as Legal Aspects of Sport, Event / Hospitality Management, Branding, Sales, or the scholarship of Sport Management /Leadership education is of particular interest. Applicants must demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students.
