The OneFlorida+ CRN is a collaborative network that seeks to improve health research capacity and opportunities through the facilitation of clinical and translation research in communities and health care settings. OneFlorida+ includes 14 health system and clinical partners in Florida and also metropolitan sites in Atlanta Georgia and Birmingham Alabama. The University of Florida (UF) serves as the Coordinating Center. Our diverse health settings include academic health centers, statewide and regional health systems, federally qualified health centers and safety-net behavioral health providers. With 19M patients in the Southeast, OneFlorida+ contributes uniquely to national patient-centered research network (PCORnet) established by PCORI with strengths in the diversity of patient populations and settings.

The faculty appointment will be in the Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics (HOBI) and its biomedical informatics division. HOBI has a strong agenda focused on research methods for prevention and implementation science, including health outcomes among vulnerable populations. The Department fosters collaborative relationships with investigators across diverse disciplines, including pediatrics, medicine, biomedical informatics, molecular biology, epidemiology, genetics, psychiatry, behavioral medicine, policy evaluation, and health services and outcomes research. The environment provides exciting opportunities to develop multidisciplinary and translational collaborations across the lifespan.
