Job Details:

The Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences at Coastal Carolina University announce an opening for a Clinical Teaching Associate in Elementary Education beginning in Spring 2023. This position may be renewable each year.

Candidates must have an earned Master’s Degree in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction or a closely related field with 18 hours of graduate coursework (or extensive documented experience) in the selected discipline with at least three years teaching grades 2-6 in United States public schools. Prior university teaching experience is preferred. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses and/or supervise field experiences and internships.

About the Program and University:The Elementary Education program prepares candidates to meet the educational requirements for South Carolina licensure in elementary education (grades 2-6). Students pursuing a degree in elementary education develop their knowledge, skills, and dispositions through challenging, inquiry-based learning experiences; these include study in the core areas of literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies as well as music, health, and physical education. Together with an in-depth study of child growth and development, educational psychology, teaching methodology, instructional technology and focused, off-campus clinical experiences, the Elementary Education Program at Coastal Carolina University offers students a program rich in practicality, relevance, and professional growth opportunities.
