General Description / Primary Purpose:The School of Engineering at the University of North Florida (UNF) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor, commencing in August 2023. An earned Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or other closely related field, with a specialization in thermofluids, including but not limited to renewable energy, clean transportation, or computational fluid dynamics, is required at the time of position commencement. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate research experience and a record of publication as well as the ability to collaborate with UNF faculty and enhance the existing strengths of the program. A commitment to excellence in teaching and research, as well as the development of an externally funded research program, will be expected of the successful candidate. Collegiality, active service and participation in governance in accordance with the vision and mission of the school, college and university are also expected.
