A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) is seeking applications for a full-time Dental Assistant to work at the Mesa, Arizona Clinic.

• Assist students and/or faculty chairside.
• Maintain supply levels.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of operatories used in the surgery department.
• Maintain suction Lines and DUWL.
• Weekly meetings with students.
• Responsible for clinic department closure.
  • Transport instruments to sterilization.
  • Computer/monitor shutdown.
  • Close vertical blinds.
  • Turn off N2O.
  • Organize operatories, etc. as assigned/necessary.
• Process biopsies (oral/perio surgery).
• Participate in staff meetings and other departmental meetings.
• Provide feedback on supply usage and possible cost savings measures.
• Continuting education course attendance.
• CPR certification course to maintain current CPR certification.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be CPR and X-Ray certified. 
• Must have 2-3 years previous dental assisting experience, CDA preferred.
• At least one year axiUm Ascend software experience.
• Knowledgeable in OSHA standards, aseptic procedures, HIPAA regulations, sterilization, infection control, and all dental procedures and supplies.
• Professional appearance and strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills a must.
• Must be flexible, able to change assignments with little direction.
• Must work well independently and in a group environment.
