About Us

The University System of Georgia (USG) is comprised of 26 higher education institutions as well as the University System Office (USO). Within the USO, our administrative operations are primarily housed in the Trinity Washington Building located in downtown Atlanta. Our Information Technology Services (ITS) division is located in Athens. The University System of Georgia Shared Services Center (SSC) is located in Sandersville. The Georgia Public Library System is located in Atlanta. The Georgia Archives is located in Morrow. The State of Georgia Records Center is located in Austell.

Job Summary

This is a professional (working) level position responsible for keeping up to date on USG processes related to third-party integrations, overseeing third-party integrations into the LMS, assisting campus LMS admins with integrations, and serves as a liaison with third-party integration vendors. This position involves end user support, task coordination, and project management in support of the USG LMS team and its function. In addition, this position will work closely with the LMS vendor and a diverse community of campus LMS administrators utilizing multiple complex campus environments.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree required.

Other Required Qualifications
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience
Over three years of related experience required.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including maintaining records of third-party integration documentation, and through virtual environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Strongly Preferred
Experience working with third-party integration vendors and setting up third-party integrations within the LMS.
Experience with configuration management of complex systems.
Over three years of experience administering a LMS (D2L Brightspace, Blackboard, Canvas, etc.).
Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and through formal presentations to individuals at all levels of the organization (executives, peers, developers, customers).
Preferred
Experience in Higher Education working with a LMS (D2L Brightspace, Blackboard, Canvas, etc.).
Over three years of related experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience successfully working with a remote team.

Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
Knowledge of best practices in higher education and/or library management.
Knowledge of current topics impacting higher education.
Knowledge of current third-party integration standards and best practices.
Knowledge of USG Board of Regents policies and procedures.

Skill in collaborating with multiple constituents.
Skill in decision making and problem solving.
Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
ABILITIES
Ability to respond diplomatically to sensitive and critical issues.
Ability to effectively multi-task.
