Description:Adjunct faculty report to the Department Chairperson of Information Systems and Business Analytics. Adjunct faculty members must have instructional knowledge and techniques appropriate to effective undergraduate and graduate teaching. Adjuncts are expected to have knowledge of ways to instruct, manage, motivate and evaluate students.CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:· Teaches introductory and/or upper level undergraduate courses or graduate level courses as well. Current areas of interest included (but not limited to) are Business Statistics, Spreadsheet Modeling for Business, Healthcare Analytics, Sports Analytics, Artificial Intelligence with Deep Learning, Web Design, Privacy/Regulation/Compliance Laws in Cybersecurity.· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:· A master’s degree in statistics, IS/IT, CS, or a closely related field is required.· Successful candidates will have demonstrated a commitment to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in an educational environment.
Preferred Quals Summary:- Documented excellence and experience in teaching.
- Experience in both face-to-face and online course delivery.
- Certificates in IT and Analytics fields are priority.
