Student Conduct Coordinator

Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the position of Student Conduct Coordinator. This position will report to the Associate Dean of Students who provides direct oversight for the student conduct process. The Student Conduct Coordinator will coordinate and process student conduct referrals, primarily within University residence halls. The position will conduct hearings to resolve alleged student conduct violations. The Student Conduct Coordinator will assist in the education of University students related to their decision making, approaching from a lens of campus accountability and a student-focused model.
QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree and experience in student services programs is required. A master’s degree in student affairs/higher education or related field and one (1) year of student services experience, to include familiarity with higher education student conduct processes is preferred.

DUTIES include, but are not limited to:· Serving as a hearing officer in the student conduct process for individual cases involving
residential students;· Processing student conduct cases in collaboration with University Housing;· Working to collect comprehensive information, hearing cases, delivering decisions of responsibility, and assigning action plans;· Assisting with the development and coordination of educational workshops given as plans
to students;· Tracking and analyzing data related to emergent issues in the community; and· Performing other duties as assigned.Coastal Carolina University is a public comprehensive liberal arts institution located in Conway, South Carolina, minutes from the Atlantic coastal resort city of Myrtle Beach. Student Services Program Coordinator II (CB70/61122621-S00655P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 05. Salary range: $35,360.00 (minimum) – $50,394.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university. Able to work evenings and weekends throughout the year as needed. Able to attend overnight conferences and drive state vehicles.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and experience in student services programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in student affairs/higher education or related field. One (1) year of
student services experience, to include familiarity with higher education student conduct processes.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills, strong presentation and
interpersonal communication skills, experience in working with college students on a
residential campus, ability to work evenings and weekends as needed, and ability to
provide exemplary customer service.
