Job Description:

The Economics program at York College of Pennsylvania is pleased to invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Economics to begin in August 2023. We seek candidates to teach a variety of economics courses at both the undergraduate level and in the MBA program.

York College is a teaching-focused institution, and we seek applicants with genuine interest for both teaching and ongoing scholarly activity, as well as service to the college community. Holding regular office hours, demonstrating an appropriate degree of professional activity (particularly with regard to pedagogy), and attending all meetings relevant to the position is expected. Assistant/Associate professors are encouraged to attend College sponsored activities.

Requirements:

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Economics by the start of the initial contract period. Consideration will be given to ABD candidates with a defined plan to complete their degree requirements within 12 months. Evidence of research potential is expected. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant professional experience and certifications. The rank of the position will be determined based on evidence of the candidate's scholarship and qualifications.
